Letting marketing publish its own event pages

A Framer template fed by Coda lets JOTA’s marketing team set up its own event pages. I check and publish each one.

Role
I owned
The idea and the whole template: design, build in Framer, the link to Coda, the Slack automation and the page speed work. I check each new page and publish it.
Time
2 weeks in 2025: one for design, one for the build. Live since August.
Not me
Marketing writes each page in Coda. The sign-up form and the CRM stay in RD Station.
Tools
Figma, Framer, Coda (API), RD Station, Google Analytics 4.

Context

Every JOTA PRO call or webinar needs a sign-up page. Marketing had to ask design and wait in the queue; then design copied the last page and put all the details into one image. Search engines couldn’t read it, and it jumped as it loaded.

Decisions

Marketing sets up pages in Coda The queueMarketing already uses Coda. Each row becomes a page; a Slack ping tells me to check it.
Every part is real text Text in imagesTitle, topics, date and analyst are text, so search engines read it and it doesn’t jump.
One template with limits Copy-pasteEach field has a character limit, like 60 for the title, so any event fits the layout.

Flow

What happens between a new event and a live page. Marketing writes it; the automation and the check are mine.

Why I still check: some pages had the wrong form, a typo, broken characters or a bad photo. It started as a test, and new pages come a few times a month, so a quick look is enough for now.

Solution

Marketing fills one row in Coda. I get a ping in Slack, check the page and publish it.

Results

Marketing now sets up event pages on its own, in about two minutes each: 34 since August 2025. On call pages the conversion rate went up, and these pages now bring most of JOTA PRO’s form leads.

Today
Marketing sets up each page; I check it and publish it in Framer.
What I can’t claim
That the template alone raised the conversion rate. Topic, date and email campaigns matter too, and webinar pages had no tracked numbers before.
Next time
A shorter form, maybe in steps. And once the checks stop finding problems, make it fully automatic.
